During winter holiday, I practiced hand-knitting. I wanted to make what I can wear, so I made mittens, knit hat and earmuffs. I believe my hand-knitting skill has improved!!
I love traditional norwegian mittens and gloves. I bought a lovely book that there are lot of design of traditional norwegian mittens and gloves. So I want to try making another design in the book when I get enough time.... maybe during spring holiday.
I am not good at hand knitting, so I thought that I would like to practice hand knitting. When I was in Japan in this summer, I went to yarn shop to take basic hand knitting class.
My first hand knitting work is a stole which has just basic hand knitting skills. And next, I tried to make socks which are more difficult and complicated than the stole. So knitting socks took a long time, and to be honest, I got bored with hand knitting. But I could learn several beneficial hand knitting skills from the process of making socks. I think I try to continue practice of hand knitting to master more involved technique.
